About Roderick Lake
Roderick Lake, with its pristine and clear water, is an anglers’ paradise for trophy walleye, northern pike, and elusive cold-water lake trout. Roderick Lake is 48-miles northwest of Red Lake, bordering the Woodland Caribou Provincial Park (WCPP). This undisturbed boreal forest is home to one of the largest groups of woodland caribou south of Hudson Bay, setting the perfect backdrop for some of Ontario’s premiere fishing.
The Fishing
Fishing typically consists of mid-lake reefs and structure for walleye. Shallow weedy points and hidden inlets hold trophy class Northern Pike, similar to other locations. Trophy Northern Pike and Walleye are not uncommon at this location.
We have a strict catch and release policy for trophies, ensuring world class fishing for many generations to come.
The Cabin
Constructed on site, from local pine logs, the cabins provide a range from two (2) bedrooms to four (4) bedrooms, accommodating up to ten (10) people, and feature solar powered 120V lights and electricity. The cabin is very well equipped with a propane range; fridge, freezer; mattresses; and three-piece bathrooms (urinal, sink and shower), and complete with hot and cold running water. A charcoal barbecue on the deck is also included.

Main Camp on Roderick Lake operates on weekly reservations running from Friday Departure times are between 5:00 – 7:00 am CST. Please confirm at least 24 hours prior to scheduled departure.
- * Rates are based on utilizing aircraft to travel to and from locations.
- † Each person is permitted 150lbs of baggage. Additional weight will be charged at $2.50/lb, and is strictly enforced for Main Camp on Roderick Lake.
- ‡ Superior Airways Limited provides exclusive travel to all Chimo Lodge and Outpost locations. Their main float base is located at 68-Howey Street, Red Lake, ON.
